BLACK SOULS has 14 endings: four lettered main conclusions and ten endings belonging to individual characters. This page lists all of them with their real Steam completion rates, and lays out a sane multi-cycle plan for collecting the set. Spoilers are kept structural — we say what exists and how routes relate, not what happens.

The four main endings

Ending Completed by Role in a full run
B End 32.6% The natural first-cycle conclusion
D End 27.4% Darker branch; second or third cycle
C End 26.9% Alternate branch; second or third cycle
A End 21.1% The rarest lettered ending — save it for a late cycle

The spread tells the story: most players roll credits on B, and each further letter asks more deliberate choices of you in the final act. Treat A as a destination, not a starting point — its completion rate sits below every mid-tier character ending for a reason.

The ten character endings

Ending Completed by Linked content
Leaf End 28.0% Leaf’s route — see her character page
Red Hood End 27.9% Red Hood’s route; intersects the “Red Hood, Poro” fight (17.8%)
Dorothy End 26.5% The Wizard of Oz thread — Dorothy
Jeanne End 25.5% Jeanne’s route; the Holy Beast fight (12.1%) is on this road
Victoria End 24.2% Tied to Demon of Desire Victoria (20.0%)
Miranda End 23.0% Miranda’s route
Catherine End 22.9% Tied to Saint Catherine — the game’s rarest fight (11.4%)
Goose End 22.1% The Golden Goose storyline (14.0%)
Elma End 21.6% Elma’s route
Elisabeth End 21.3% Tied to Torture Queen Elisabeth Bathory (18.3%)

Note the pattern in the right column: the rarer half of character endings each pair with one of the game’s rarest boss fights. Those bosses aren’t random superbosses — they’re the gates and climaxes of their heroines’ stories.

A route plan for all 14

  • Cycle 1: B End + Leaf or Red Hood. Learn the game; open every conversation you find.
  • Cycle 2: C or D End + two character endings whose routes you already started.
  • Cycle 3: The remaining letter of C/D + mid-table characters (Dorothy, Victoria, Miranda).
  • Cycle 4+: A End, and the boss-gated endings — Jeanne, Catherine, Elisabeth, Goose — on a fully developed character. These cycles are where your build finally cashes in.

Rules that keep a full run clean:

  1. Never end a cycle with a heroine route half-done. Routes don’t carry mid-progress across cycles the way your build does.
  2. One rare boss per cycle is plenty. Jeanne d’Arc, Catherine and Elisabeth Bathory are each cycle-defining fights.
  3. Track as you go. With 14 endings across many cycles, memory fails — use the Ending Checker.
