BLACK SOULS — First Playthrough

A sane first route through the Lost Empire: see a full story, meet the major heroines, and set yourself up for later cycles without spoiling the deep routes.

1.Create your character and take your time with the opening — BLACK SOULS is an RPG first; levels matter.
2.Clear the early boss cluster: Drake Helkaiser, Iron King, Hyena of Hunger, the Town Musicians of Bremen. These four are the game's on-ramp — over half of all players clear them.
3.Start talking to every named character you meet, every time you pass them. Heroine routes (Leaf, Red Hood and others) advance through repeated conversations and are missable.
4.Continue through the mid-game: Pied Piper of Elixir, Knight in Armor, Hansel and Gretel, Devourer Patrasche, Trashlord Kraken.
5.When the princess bosses appear (Snow White, Cinderella, Rapunzel, Little Mermaid), you're in the mid-game. Keep at least one heroine route active alongside the main story.
6.Aim for the B End on your first cycle — it's the most common first conclusion (32.6% of players). Don't chase the A End yet; it's designed for later cycles.
7.After credits, start New Game+ and pick one character ending to complete — Leaf End (28%) or Red Hood End (27.9%) are the classic first choices.

BLACK SOULS — All 14 Endings

The completionist route: 4 main endings and 10 character endings. Expect multiple New Game+ cycles — this is how the game is meant to be exhausted.

1.Finish B End first if you haven't — it's the natural first-cycle conclusion.
2.On following cycles, alternate: one lettered ending (C, D, then A) per cycle alongside one or two character endings.
3.Group character endings by their bosses: Elisabeth End pairs with the Torture Queen fight, Jeanne End with Holy Beast Jeanne d'Arc, Catherine End with Saint Catherine.
4.Save the hardest boss-gated endings for your strongest cycles — Saint Catherine (11.4% kill rate) and Holy Beast Jeanne d'Arc (12.1%) are the two rarest fights in the game.
5.Track everything in the Ending Checker as you go; with 14 endings it is genuinely easy to lose count.
6.Use a checklist before ending each cycle: which heroine routes are still open? Ending a cycle with a route half-done usually means redoing it.

BLACK SOULS II — First Playthrough

From the Park of Fog to your first credits. BLACK SOULS II layers the SEN sanity system on top of everything — this route keeps your first cycle manageable.

1.Light your first bone fire (71.3% of players' first achievement) and learn the checkpoint rhythm early.
2.Learn "Run like Dodo" from Dodo before fighting anything serious — mobility is the early game's best defense.
3.Visit the Cheshire Cat in the Park of Fog. He's the game's hint system; over half of players find him for a reason.
4.Take Ketch the Executioner as your first real boss test. If he feels impossible, explore more first — SEN and levels both matter.
5.Meet Red Hood in Lutwidge Town and get Leaf's Ring from Mary Ann — the two big series callbacks, both easy to miss if you rush.
6.Pick up Fairy Tales as you find them, but don't detour hard for the full collection yet — that's second-cycle work.
7.Ride your first cycle to the Alice End (39.1% of players) — the intended first conclusion — then start New Game+ ("Encore!").

BLACK SOULS II — All 8 Endings

All eight conclusions, from the common branches to Hell & Heartbroken. The rare endings assume deep familiarity with the game's systems and questlines.

1.Complete Alice End first, then the main branch cluster: Good, Death, Exclusion and Catastrophe — these five form the game's core ending set.
2.Born End (22%) is noticeably deeper: expect it to require specific story knowledge from earlier cycles.
3.Build your Fairy Tale collection across cycles — the Fairy End (18.6%) is associated with engaging deeply with the tales, and "Sweet dreams" (set all fairy tales in the Library) sits at a telling 15.3%.
4.Keep key questlines alive: characters who die can take routes with them. Vernai, Griffy, Chikerost and the Gerda/Kai thread all have failure states.
5.Hell & Heartbroken End (18.1%) is the deep-route conclusion — approach it last, with a completed understanding of the story.
6.Log each ending in the Ending Checker; the 8 endings interleave across cycles and it's easy to misremember which branch you've actually finished.

BLACK SOULS II — Full Fairy Tale Collection

All 34 tracked Fairy Tales and Folk Tales, ending with every book set in the Library's shelf. The single most content-complete goal in the game.

1.Collect naturally on your first cycle — about two-thirds of the tales sit above 30% acquisition and appear along the main routes.
2.Sweep the commonly-missed middle tier: The Crab and The Monkey (29.7%), Pinocchio (25.4%, near the Whale Beast), The Jumper (23.9%).
3.Chase the rare tail: Nightingale (21.8%), Goose That Laid Golden Eggs (21.1%), The Snow Queen (11.5%) — the Snow Queen thread involves Gerda and Kai's storyline, which has failure states.
4.Don't forget the three Folk Tales: Jeanne d'Arc, Saint of Alexandria, and Elizabeth Bathory.
5.The blank tale ([ ], 9.4%) is the deepest secret of the collection — treat it as endgame.
6.Set every tale in the Library's bookshelf for "Sweet dreams" (15.3%).
